Radiesse and Sculptra
Treatments

What are Radiesse and Sculptra Treatments?

Radiesse is a type of dermal fillers that provides instant volume and immediate lifting and contouring effect, as well as a longer term effect by stimulating the skin to produce its own natural collagen.

Sculptra, or poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA), is an injectable medication that stimulates your body to produce collagen. As collagen production increases, it improves skin quality and smooths wrinkles, revealing a refreshed looking you. It reduces sagging of the skin and other signs of aging due to collagen loss by gradually restoring skin structure and volume. Sculptra provides a natural-looking, long-lasting effect for up to 2 years.

It is most commonly administered in the face, hands, neck, and buttocks (“butt lift”).

How does Sculptra work?

Aging, Collagen Loss, and Sculptra

After age 20, we lose about 1% of collagen per year, and by age 45, we have lost approximately 25% of our collagen. Sculptra, the first and original FDA-approved biostimulatory agent, promotes collagen production.

What is the difference between Sculptra and other dermal fillers?

The main difference between Sculptra and other dermal fillers is the production of collagen. While the hyaluronic acid of dermal filler gels can lift and volumize by attracting water, Sculptra elicits a natural response in your body to produce collagen- an important structural component of the skin.

While many of the effects of dermal fillers are immediately apparent, Sculptra’s effects are gradual, subtle, and sustainable, and depending on the number of treatments and each individual patient, can last for over 2 years.

Common Sculptra Treatment Areas

Face (Including Cheeks, Jawline, and Temples)

Sculptra can restore natural collagen and improve skin quality in the face for firmer, glowing skin in the entire cheek, jaw, and lateral face region. For example, 86% of patients had an improved jawline contour 2 years after Sculptra treatment when injected into the cheek region.

Hands

Sculptra is an excellent solution to restore volume to aging hands and leave them looking plumper and more youthful. Sculptra helps stimulate collagen growth, restoring lost volume to the hands and dramatically reducing the appearance of wrinkles.

Neck

Sculptra treatment of the neck restores sagging skin and some neck lines by providing smoother and tighter skin.

Buttocks or “Butt Lift”

The Sculptra butt lift is a cosmetic procedure that enhances the curve and shape of your buttocks without surgery or a high risk of complications. Sculptra butt lift works by stimulating collagen production in the deeper layers of your skin.
